So I announced a few months ago that Matty & I are engaged. Between then and now, it's been such a whirlwind -- Ghana, China, coming back and jumping into the middle of classes, seeing my new patients, starting my 40-hr/week internship at Gouv Hospital, then getting the flu, taking the Comps & Praxis, and heading home to Cali for spring break. Oh my, and all in one breath!
Other than an inaugural bridal gown shopping trip in New York two weekends prior, there's been no time for wedding planning until after the Praxis was over this past Saturday. That was three days ago, and since then, it's been a pretty overwhelmingly packed schedule of trying on dresses, visiting venues, and meeting with photographers.
Regarding the dress-- I've already found it. On that first shopping trip in NY. Amazingly enough, it wasn't one of the dresses Ana, Farwa, I had picked off the rack. It was the very first one that Sheryl, my RK consultant, had me try on because she "got a sense of [my] style, and thought it'd look great on [me]." Boy, was she right. I never really think I look nice in anything, but this dress brought tears to my, Ana's, and Farwa's eyes.
Simple, demure, and romantic.
The only problem? Its price tag. Since "the dress", I must have tried on about 20 other gowns... Veras, Maggies, Pronovias, Casablancas, and a bunch of nameless-es. Gowns that range from $499 to $4000. None of them is quite right. The search continues, I suppose!

Today,
1. My flu peaks. Hello: headache, cough, fever, & congestion.
2. I'm taking the Comps. Seven hours of essay exams.
3. I turn twenty-five (eep!).
Please pray for me!
